To mark the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan, we are organizing two major exhibitions of Japanese prints in November and December, in conjunction with our gallery friend L’HEURE BLEUE in Rolle.
WOOD PRINTS
Japanese masters from the 17th to the 20th centuries
At Galerie HEHE, you’ll discover the exhibition “Wood prints of scenes and landscapes from the 18th to the 20th century”, which runs from Friday November 15 to Saturday December 7, 2024.
Yoshitoshi
The last great master of ukiyo-e
Galerie L’HEURE BLEUE presents the exhibition “Yoshitoshi, le dernier grand maître de l’ukiyo-e” (Yoshitoshi, the last great master of ukiyo-e), running from Thursday, November 14 to Saturday, December 7, 2024. The exhibition features over forty works by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), considered the last great master of ukiyo-e and one of the art form’s greatest creative geniuses. The prints on display are part of our personal collection, which we have passionately and patiently assembled. In organizing this exhibition, we hope to share these works with a wide audience. You are cordially invited to the vernissages which will take place on Friday November 15 from 5pm at HEHE Galerie, Place De-Grenus 8 in Geneva and on Thursday December 14 from 5pm at the HEURE BLEUE gallery, 34 Grand Rue in Rolle.
